Security Advisory - Two Vulnerabilities in Huawei PCManager Product

There is a privilege escalation vulnerability in Huawei PCManager product. Successful exploitation may cause the attacker to obtain a higher privilege. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2018-11141)

 This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2019-5241.

 

There is a code execution vulnerability in Huawei PCManager product. Successful exploitation may cause the attacker to execute code and read/write memory. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2018-11152)

 This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2019-5242.

HWPSIRT-2018-11141:

By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can obtain a higher privilege.

HWPSIRT-2018-11152:

By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can execute code and read/write memory.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker has successfully tricked a user into installing the malicious application.

Vulnerability details:

There is a privilege escalation vulnerability in Huawei PCManager product. Successful exploitation may cause the attacker to obtain a higher privilege.

HWPSIRT-2018-11152:

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker has successfully tricked a user into installing the malicious application.

Vulnerability details:

There is a code execution vulnerability in Huawei PCManager product. Successful exploitation may cause the attacker to execute code and read/write memory.


1.The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

2. Customers should obtain upgrades through Huawei consumer business official website.
