Security Advisory - Authentication Bypass Vulnerability in Some Huawei Smart Phones

Some Huawei smartphones have an authentication bypass vulnerability. When the attacker obtains the user's smartphone, the vulnerability can be used to replace the start-up program so that the attacker can obtain the information in the smartphone and achieve the purpose of controlling the smartphone. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2018-02106)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2018-7910.

The attacker has got the smartphone.

Vulnerability details:

Some Huawei smartphones have an authentication bypass vulnerability. When the attacker obtains the user's smartphone, the vulnerability can be used to replace the start-up program so that the attacker can obtain the information in the smartphone and achieve the purpose of controlling the smartphone.


The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
