CX600

The CX600 Metro Services Platform (CX600 for short) is designed for the carrier-class metropolitan area network (MAN) that features fixed-mobile convergence (FMC). Covering access, convergence and transmission, CX600 is generally deployed at the access and convergence layers of a carrier-class MAN.

Features

Enhanced Multi-Service Functions

CX600 has a built-in video caching function to provide smooth IPTV experience. Based on the versatile service unit (VSUF-10), fast channel change (FCC), retransmission request (RET) and inline real-time stream monitoring (iRSM), CX600 can improve user experience, optimize OAM, save bandwidth resources and reduce the TCO of the entire network.

Based on the VSUI-20 card, CX600 can provide IPSEC and NAT services to build a secure and controllable network.

Enhanced Metro Ethernet Features

CX600 supports rich MPLS L3/L2 VPN features, QinQ, VLAN switching and flexible control over the MAC address table. This greatly enhances the scalability and service security of Metro Ethernets (MEs). In addition, CX600 supports comprehensive Ethernet clock synchronization and 1588v2, which satisfies the requirements for carrier-class FMC service development in the MAN.

IPv6-Compatible

CX600 supports a variety of features including IPv6 user access, authentication, and rich NAT or transition mechanisms including dual stack/DS-Lite, tunneling and translation. CX600 supports Next Hop Separation to optimize the IPv6 convergence time and larger IPv6 FIB to improve the scalability. All of these help to provide comprehensive solutions based on high performance for transition from IPv4 to IPv6.

Carrier-Class Reliability

Based on the carrier-class design, CX600 supports redundancy backup and hot swapping for all key components including SRUs, SFUs, power supply modules, fan modules, management buses, monitor buses and data buses. CX600 also supports port binding, virtual router redundancy protocol (VRRP), and rapid ring protection protocol (RRPP) to ensure continuous service forwarding in the case of link faults.

CX600 ensures that services can be converged within 50ms when abnormalities occur, ensuring non-stop services thanks to features like graceful restart (GR), fast convergence, and key technologies such as bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD), IP fast reroute (FRR), label distribution protocol (LDP) FRR, TE FRR, VPN FRR, VLL FRR. In addition, CX600 supports MPLS OAM, Ethernet OAM, Y.1731, PWE3, and backup protection of service routers. With these features, CX600 can achieve a millisecond-level protection switchover.

Applications & Benefits

Advanced 400G Platform: Expanding smoothly from 40Gbps to 400Gbps to satisfy the increasing demand for bandwidth over the next three to five years.

Leading 100G line card in industry: Enhancing the system capacity to carry massive services.

Abundant multi-service: Besides ATM, Ethernet and L2/L3 VPN services, CX600 provides built-in video caching to enhance IPTV service experience. It also provides IPSEC and NAT functions to build a secure and controllable network.

Mobile Backhaul Clock Synchronization Solution: CX600 can fully support Synchronous Ethernet and 1588v2, which can meet the future requirements for fixed mobile convergence and LTE.

Future-Oriented IPv6-Compatible Solutions: CX600 supports a variety of features including IPv6 user access, authentication, and abundant NAT or transition mechanisms including dual stack/DS-Lite, tunneling and translation. CX600 supports Next Hop Separation to optimize the IPv6 convergence time and larger IPv6 FIB to improve the scalability. All of these help to provide comprehensive solutions based on the high performance for transition from IPv4 to IPv6.
