Overview

HUAWEI S12700 series agile switches are designed for next-generation networks. Using a fully programmable switching architecture, the S12700 series allows fast, flexible function customization and supports a smooth evolution to Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

Features

The S12700 series uses a Huawei Ethernet Network Processor (ENP) and provides a native Wireless Access Controller (AC) to help build a wired and wireless converged network. Its Unified User Management capabilities deliver unified user and service management, and Huawei's Packet Conservation Algorithm for Internet (iPCA) supports hop-by-hop monitoring of any service flows, helping manage services in a more refined way. The S12700 series runs the Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), which provides high-performance L2/L3 switching services and rich network services, such as Multiprotocoal Label Switching (MPLS) VPN, hardware IPv6, desktop cloud, and video conferencing. In addition, the S12700 series offers a variety of reliability technologies, including in-service software upgrade, non-stop forwarding, Cluster Switch System Generation2(CSS2), a switch fabric hardware clustering system that allows 1+N backup of Main Processing Units (MPUs), hardware Eth-OAM/BFD, and ring network protection. These technologies help improve productivity and maximize network operation time, reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Quidway® S9300E

Huawei S9300E series (S9300E for short) terabit routing switches are next-generation high-end smart switches tailored for multiservice networks. The S9300E uses Huawei's intelligent multilayer switching concept to provide high-performance L2/L3 switching services as well as rich network applications such as High-Definition (HD) video, elastic cloud computing, hardware IPv6, unified security, and H-QoS. Secure, reliable, and scalable, and providing converged, end-to-end routing and switching functions, the S9300E switches are widely used in Wide Area Networks (WANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), and data centers to help carriers build application-centric networks.

The S9300E is available in three models: S9303E, S9306E, and S9312E. All S9300E models use interchangeable modules and components for inexpensive switching capacity and port expansion. In addition, S9300E models use innovative energy saving technologies that greatly reduce energy consumption and noise without compromising performance or stability.

An S9300E running a system software version of V2R5C00 or later can be upgraded to an agile switch by using an X1E card, which is equipped with the first Ethernet Network Processor (ENP) of Huawei.

S6300 Switches

S6300 switches (S6300 for short) are next-generation box-shaped 10-gigabit switches developed by Huawei for accessing 10-gigabit servers in a data center and converging devices on a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) or campus network.

The S6300, one of the best-performance switches in the industry, provides a maximum of 24/48 full-line-speed 10-gigabit interfaces, which gives possibility to high-density access of 10-gigabit servers in a data center and high-density convergence of 10-gigabit devices on a campus network. In addition, the S6300 provides diversified features, perfect security control measures, and multiple QoS control modes to meet the requirements of data centers for expansibility, reliability, manageability, and security.

Quidway S5300 Series Gigabit Switches

Quidway S5300 series gigabit switches are new generation Ethernet gigabit switches that meet the requirements for high-bandwidth access and Ethernet multi-service convergence, providing powerful Ethernet functions for operators and enterprise customers. Based on the new generation high-performance hardware and Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), the S5300 features large capacity and gigabit interfaces of high density, provides 10G uplinks, meeting the requirements for the 1G and 10G uplink devices of high density.

The S5300 can meet the requirements of multiple scenarios such as service convergence on campus networks and Intranets, the access to the IDC at a rate of 1000 Mbit/s, and the access to computers at a rate of 1000 Mbit/s on Intranets.

Quidway® S3300 Series Switches

The Quidway S3300 series switches are new generation Layer 3 Ethernet switches developed to carry various services on the Ethernet, which provide powerful Ethernet functions for operators and enterprise customers. Based on the new generation high-performance hardware and Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), the S3300 provides the enhanced selective QinQ function and capability to replicate multicast packets between VLANs at the line speed, and supports carrier-class reliability technologies such as Smart Link (applicable to tree networks) and RRPP (applicable to ring networks), as well as the Ethernet OAM function.

The S3300 can be used as access devices in buildings or applied to the access layer and aggregation layer of campus networks. The S3300 is easy to install. It supports automatic configuration and plug-and-play, which dramatically reduces costs of network deployment.

Quidway S2300 Series Switches

The Quidway S2300 series switches are new generation Ethernet intelligent access switches. The S2300 is mainly deployed on the IP MAN and intranets, meeting requirements of carrying various Ethernet services and accessing the Ethernet. Based on the new generation high-performance hardware and Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), the S2300 supports rich and flexible service features and thus improves the operability, manageability, and service expansibility. In addition, the S2300 supports powerful lightning protection, security features, ACLs, QinQ, 1:1 VLAN switching, and N:1 VLAN switching to flexibly deploy VLANs.
