Huawei enters into partnership with the Norwegian Ski Federation

[Oslo, Norway, Dec.11, 2015] Huawei Technologies Norway has signed a sponsorship contract with the Norwegian Ski Federation - Cross Country. As part of the collaboration, two of the world's top cross country skiers, Therese Johaug and Heidi Weng, will serve as Huawei's brand ambassadors.

Huawei’s consumer brand is relatively young in the Norwegian market, and with this sponsorship the aim is to make innovative and exciting products known for a wider audience. Cross country skiing is one of the strongest culture bearers in Norway and has great national pride, thus with this partnership Huawei clearly shows its commitment to create a broader attention to its brand.

Earlier this year, Huawei entered into a successful partnership with Norwegian elite soccer club Vålerenga. In addition, Huawei has cooperation with leading international clubs such as AC Milan, Ajax, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Paris-Saint Germain (PSG). As for winter sports, Huawei is already sponsoring the Czech national team in ice hockey and Finland's prominent ice hockey team Jokerit.

The two Norwegian cross country profiles, Therese Johaug and Heidi Weng, will serve as Huawei ambassadors along with international sports profiles such as soccer player Robert Lewandowski of FC Bayern Munich and the Czech ice hockey player Jaromír Jágr.
