Corporate Social Responsibility

Huawei is a member of, and actively involved in, the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Plano Chamber of Commerce, Metroplex Technology Business Council, Chinese Institute of Engineers, Association of Chinese Professionals, and the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA. In addition, the company contributes to the local community by being involved with University of Texas at Dallas and Southern Methodist University to lend expertise to their technology research and management programs.

2010

  • Successfully completed voice calling and high definition video streaming over wireless networks using 4G LTE technology for Cox Communications
  • Selected by GlobeNet to deploy NG-DWDM optical platform

2009

  • Successfully deployed an HSPA network across Canada for Bell utilizing leading SingleRAN solution and base stations
  • Selected by Mediacom Communications to deploy NG-DWDM transport across over 4000km of Mediacom' s backbone network through the states of Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota
  • Selected by Clearwire to supply WiMAX radio access network equipment to facilitate rollout of its mobile Internet service
  • Opened a Long Term Evolution laboratory located in Richardson, Texas
  • Its USA offices were awarded Certification to TL9000-V R4.0/R4.0 and ISO 9001:2000
  • Selected to provide its end to end CDMA solution and services to Cox Communications

2008

2007

  • WiMAX end-to-end solutions and services with MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) technologies
  • Selected by FiberTower Corporation to deploy SONET-based OptiX Metro family of products 

2006

  • Announced agreement to deploy CDMA 3G network for Leap Wireless to support its Cricket® wireless services in Spokane, Wash.; Boise, Idaho; and Reno, Nev.
