About Huawei ICT Competition

The Huawei ICT Competition is an annual global event designed for students and teachers from colleges and universities. It offers an international platform for competition and exchange, enabling participants to strengthen their ICT knowledge, improve practical skills, and foster innovation using the latest technologies and platforms. Since its launch in 2015, the competition has been gaining significant momentum, with more countries and students joining each year. In China, it has been listed as a national competition for university students, while globally, it has been recognized as a key partner flagship program by UNESCO's Global Skills Academy.

Global Final Rules
Featuring four tracks—Network, Cloud, Computing, and Ascend AI (Chinese mainland only), this competition assesses participants' ICT theoretical knowledge, hands-on practical skills, and teamwork skills.
The Practical Competition at the Global Final is an 8-hour comprehensive hands-on lab. The Network Track is conducted using the eNSP simulator software. The Cloud and Computing Tracks are conducted on Huawei Cloud. The Ascend AI track is conducted on Huawei Cloud and Orange Pi development boards. The Organizing Committee will provide all necessary computers during the competition. Contestants are strictly prohibited from bringing any electronic devices into the exam room. The exam questions are in English, and contestants are allowed to use online translation tools. During the competition, participants are only allowed to use the reference links and documents provided in the exam paper. Team members need to collaborate to complete the tasks and submit a single, complete answer.

Global Final Rules
This focuses on evaluating how innovative the participants are when using AI and ICT.
The Innovation Competition at the Global Final is team-based. Teams will present in a random order. Each presentation will last 20 minutes in total, including 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A with the judges. Presentations may include PowerPoint slides, videos, and physical demonstrations. The presentation language is English; teams from the Chinese mainland may present in Chinese, with bonus points awarded for English delivery. For the Global Final, all entries must be uploaded on the official competition website by 23:59 on June 1 (UTC+8). For Topic 2 and Topic 3 (Chinese mainland only), materials used for automated evaluation must be uploaded by 23:59 on May 27 (UTC+8).

Global Final Rules
The 10th Huawei ICT Competition Programming Competition introduces the Cangjie Programming Track for the first time, which is currently open to the Chinese mainland only. This track focuses on participants' mastery of Cangjie language features and ability to apply them in engineering. It covers modern programming language features, AI and agent application development, and modern software engineering practices.

Teaching Competition MVI Representatives
Teaching Competition – Industry-Education Collaboration Track mainly assesses the ability of participating teachers to develop instructional content with Huawei technologies or products (such as CANN, MindSpore, HPC, openEuler, openGauss, Cangjie, HarmonyOS, Huawei Cloud, and Kunpeng) for engineering and other majors. The competition encourages interdisciplinary innovation, integrates cutting-edge industry technologies into classroom teaching, drives the industry-education collaboration, and nurtures ICT talent.
