Their firstborn system,

named after my firstborn child.

Fire and ice
Iceland, known for its unspoiled natural
beauty, is covered by glaciers and volcanos.
It’s so far north in Western Europe, that in winter,
there’s hardly any daylight.
Round the clock
Working with my colleagues at Shenzhen
headquarters meant staying up late at night to
have meetings with them in their mornings.
Instant response
Whenever there were reports of system malfunctions or
glitches, I would drop everything and race to respond to
the situation – whether that meant missing Christmas, ending
up with a burnt roast or missing an important meal.
Give and take
Our commitment to ensuring service reliability
is often met with mutual respect – sometimes
our staff are given free movie tickets or simple
gifts of fruit platters.
Firstborn
In June 2015, the greatest reward for us was when
our customer’s CIO decided to name their upcoming
digital system after my firstborn: XIAOSHU.
Around the world, around the clock, online systems and digital connectivity can only be as reliable as the people behind it. Huawei’s overseas teams are closely integrated with its customers to ensure continuity of service, no matter how demanding the situation. Not only does this build growth through trust, it’s also empowered our Icelandic carrier customer to become the second-largest mobile operator, responsible for 60% of the country’s mobile data. Hand in hand, We believe in succeeding together through collaboration.
