Thinking out of the box starts with learning inside one.

An idea becomes a mission
My parents always understood the power of education. They sent me to school to learn life skills. This was one of the best things they did for me. So I dreamt about a day where every child living in remote areas of Kenya will have the opportunity to learn digital skills for a chance to get ahead in life.
Old cargo container, new future
Who would ever imagine a solar-powered converted cargo container rolling into Nandi, Kenya — offering free classes, resources and materials to children, women and young people?

I was smiling from ear to ear during the inaugural ceremony of DigiTruck. The truck is fitted with 20 laptops, 9 VR headsets, 20 smartphones, and built-in Wi-Fi. These aren’t just tools; they’re the bridge between a child and his or her ambition. The team often says, “If we could play a part in fulfilling a child’s dream, why wouldn’t we?”

A digital classroom on wheels
If the children can’t get to the classroom, let’s bring the classroom to the children who need it. Together with Close The Gap, our self-powered mobile classroom is the seventh DigiTruck project running in Africa. By bringing digital training to more children in rural areas, a brighter digital future awaits them all.
Many have made it their mission to bridge the digital divide between the rich and poor, and rural and urban areas. The truth is, getting technology and education materials to those who need them is highly satisfying. But the best part is seeing lives changed. We’re all in… will you join us?
