eLTE Gas Detection
Chemical parks are strengthening data collection of large quantities of devices such as sensors and meters to accelerate smart factory establishment. Chemical parks use the collected data for smart production and network-based coordinated operations. To achieve this goal, refineries have set a lot of monitoring points to monitor reserves, leakage, fire, traffic volume, and power consumption in real time. However, monitoring points are geographically scattered or isolated by railways, rivers, and walls, making it difficult to dig ditches or build trays for cabling. Moreover, cabling in dangerous areas may lead to accidents because of electrical sparks. The wired system cannot meet the requirements of reconstruction projects that require a short construction period, as well as fewer installations and more commissioning costs.
The existing wireless solution commonly uses the Wi-Fi-based Mesh networking scheme. Network signals are unstable, the anti-interference capability is poor, network signals cover a small area, and network deployment as well as maintenance require a lot of effort. As a result, gas detection is inefficient and not reliable as Huawei's solution.
eLTE Gas Detection Solution
Huawei eLTE Gas Detection Solution provides excellent performance for IoT scenarios. A single site covers up to 2 to 6 kilometers. There are no coverage blind spots throughout the entire factory area. Wide network coverage requires fewer devices, with correspondingly less management and maintenance efforts.
Wireless deployment solves all the problems caused by wired deployment. It takes about 15 days to deploy a traditional wired network, whereas only takes one to two days to deploy an eLTE network. The deployment cycle reduces by 85%.
One eLTE network can support the following operations: Monitor production devices to implement preventative maintenance; monitor energy pipeline to prevent energy pipe leakage; detect toxic gas to ensure safe production; efficiently dispatch and manage production to improve production efficiency.
Sinopec Jiujiang Petrochemical Company is the only large petrochemical enterprise in Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 4.08 square kilometers. The company has large factories with various petroleum refinery devices and complicated pipeline layout. Poison leakage or even explosions will occur once a pipeline is broken. Huawei eLTE network covers the entire factory area and transmits real-time information collected from pipelines to the monitoring center. This enables the monitoring center to analyze data for preventive maintenance, reducing workloads, and improving responsiveness. Huawei eLTE solution improves the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) level of Sinopec Jiujiang Petrochemical Company by 20% and helps the company establish a wireless smart factory.
