IoT, Driving Verticals to Digitization
Huawei offers a diverse range of IoT solutions for industries and operators, including an open source operating system, Huawei LiteOS, IoT communication modules and chips, eLTE/NB-IoT/5G networks, EC-IoT gateways and smart home gateways, an IoT connection management platform, and IoT network integration services. Huawei does not provide IoT applications, develop or resell industry devices for E2E IoT solutions, or integrate E2E IoT industry solutions. Huawei, instead, directs its focus toward building a strong IoT ecosystem and working with partners to integrate IoT solutions into industries and expedite commercialization of the IoT industry.

On the device side, Huawei LiteOS helps achieve IoT device intelligence. As a lightweight open-source IoT operating system and smart hardware development platform, Huawei LiteOS has a powerful interconnection capability. It simplifies IoT device development and interconnection, smartens services, delivers superb user experience, and provides data with better protection. This makes Huawei LiteOS a perfect fit for smart homes, wearable devices, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), and manufacturing.
Huawei’s IoT solution supports both fixed and wireless access modes, which helps deploy ubiquitous network slices, cater to mass IoT requirements, and adapt to various application scenarios. For example, smart metering requires extra-long standby time, whereas video surveillance and unmanned driving are in need of mobile broadband and ultra-low latency. Creating multiple access modes helps fulfill different requirements for different scenarios.
Using IoT, cloud computing, and Big Data capabilities, Huawei’s open IoT connection management platform provides secure centralized network access, supports a variety of devices, and manages the collection and analytics of massive amounts of data. These enhanced functions allow customers to create new value from IoT connections.
