Rural Coverage

RuralStar allows for low-cost and precise network construction, encouraging the spread of mobile broadband in rural areas. The shift in types of transmission (satellite or microwave to relay), construction (towers to poles), and energy supply (diesel generator to solar) halves the total cost of ownership (TCO). These changes also reduce the investment payback duration from 10 years to 3 to 5 years. RuralStar 2.0 supports multiple modes, multiple hops, and multiple frequency bands to provide voice and data broadband services, while boasting an extended coverage of 60 km.

Global Site Forum 2017

The first Global Site Forum was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 30th, 2017. Under the theme of "Joint Contribution, Shared Benefit", the Forum gathered more than 100 partners worldwide to help build a harmonious and sustainable site ecosystem. The participants include global operators, industry organizations, government agencies, tower vendors, site resource providers, and equipment vendors. They engaged in a broad range of events, such as keynote speeches, mindshare, commercial site visits, high-level talks, and technical exchanges, to contribute and share. The Forum not only enabled in-depth discussions on industry development trends and site TCO reconstruction technologies, but also encouraged partners to elaborate on their experience in fully using and sharing site resources.
