Yucatan jaguar

Presence of Yucatan jaguars confirmed

With help of Huawei-supplied AI and Huawei Cloud, researchers and conservationists in Mexico confirmed in May 2023 the presence of at least five jaguars at a nature reserve in Dzilam, Yucatan, in the country's southeast. The ongoing project (as of May 2023) involves the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Polytechnic University of Yucatan, C Minds’ AI for Climate initiative, Rainforest Connection, the local community of Dzilam, and the government authorities of Yucatan.

Huawei, in partnership with the Communications Ministry and Education Ministry of Ghana launched a program in August 2022 to teach digital technologies to 100,000 high school girls.
