Dairy farming needs a lot of energy. Every day the milking parlour has to run and the milk has to be cooled straight away, and that means high, steady demand for electricity all year round.

On a working dairy farm in Co. Meath, a Huawei FusionSolar hybrid inverter with smart energy monitoring and 30kWh of Huawei battery storage (3 x 10kWh) was installed. The system stores solar energy and uses it when the farm needs it most, so the farmer buys less electricity from the grid. The monitoring lets the farmer track generation, storage and use in real time.

The result is a saving of thousands of euro in energy costs every year, and a more resilient, sustainable future for the farm.
