Huawei DigitALL Night 2025: Cultivating the Next Generation of Tech Talent Across Europe

[Madrid, Spain, October 29^th 2025]   

As part of Huawei Connect Europe 2025, DigitAll Night 2025 event is a vibrant talent flagship event tailored specifically for university students in STEM and ICT fields. It’s a great opportunity to experience our cutting-edge technologies and learn about the diverse career paths at Huawei.

This year we’ve attracted more than a thousand students in our main venue – Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid (IFEMA), and 300+ in 8 sub venues around Europe in France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Switzerland.

 DigitAll Night 2025 Welcome Speech: In Europe, for Europe

The event opened with a warm welcome from Jimmy Tian, President of Huawei’s European Region Human Resources Department, who greeted students from across the globe on behalf of Huawei. In his speech, he talked about the challenges and opportunities of the modern era, emphasizing that digital talent is essential to Huawei’s vision and success. He highlighted Huawei’s commitment to nurturing new talents in Europe, stating: “Huawei offers a large number of diverse and specifically designed programs and activities for young talents which include pre-graduate programs, such as our Seeds for the Future, the ICT Academy, the Huawei Student Developer program and various internship opportunities.”

As the theme of the event was “All Intelligence, Greener Europe”, Jimmy Tian also shared: “Huawei's digital power solutions have helped customers generate 1.4 trillion kWh of green power, driving the transition to renewable energy, and reduce electricity consumption by 81.8 billion kWh. These efforts have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 710 million metric tons.”

The following speech was presented by Carmen Palomino, General Director of FUE (Fundación Universidad-Empresa). For many years, FUE has been designing internships and training programs for university students and recent graduates, tailored to the needs of the company. Carmen Palomino highlighted the importance of young talent, and encouraged students to learn and develop in the field of Tech.

Talent Keynote: Huawei Europe Talent Program & ICT Cultivation

Lesley White, Vice President of Human Resources at Huawei Europe, delivered an inspiring Talent Keynote next, highlighting the company’s core values and sharing insights into the wide range of career opportunities and skill development programs available at Huawei for young talent across Europe.

Tech Keynote: 5G Technology for emergency workers in rescue missions

The event continued with an inspiring Tech Keynote from Blanca Larraga, Professor at the ETSIT and a researcher in the robotics and control laboratory, who talked about an exciting project developed in collaboration with Huawei: real-time measurement of the cognitive load of emergency personnel during rescue missions to ensure that the rescue operation is carried out in the most efficient way possible.

Next, the students had an amazing chance to listen to “Young Talents Sharing” panel talk, led by Juan Bru, Senior HR Manager Huawei Spain and Portugal, featuring Carlos Guerra, Project Manager for the Telefonica Spain Account, Cristina Romero, Vodafone Maintenance Technical Director and Wireless PML, and Joan Velez, Service Engineer. To motivate and guide new students as well as future Huawei talent, several young employees took the stage to share their inspiring personal journeys within the company. During this engaging session, they reflected on their participation in various Huawei talent development programs, the challenges they faced, and the valuable skills they gained along the way. Their stories showcased how Huawei’s supportive environment fosters continuous learning, innovation, and career advancement, bringing the event to a meaningful and memorable close.
