A blue ocean of PV panels in Shandong, China: Maximizing the value of clean energy while promoting fishery

In Dongying, Shandong, China, Huawei helped Guohua Investment Shandong Branch, CHN Energy build the world's largest open-sea offshore PV project, HG14. Spanning 1,223 hectares, the project has a total installed capacity of 1 GW and is expected to generate 1.78 billion kWh of power annually, reducing the use of coal equivalent by 503,800 metric tons and CO₂ emissions by 1.3447 million metric tons each year. Huawei inverters are IP66- and C5-rated and can withstand high temperatures, high humidity, and heavy salt fog, guaranteeing stable project operations. The project seamlessly combines fishery and solar power generation, setting a new benchmark for the large-scale development of the global offshore PV industry.
