The Bastet of some Huawei mobile phones has a DOS vulnerability due to the lack of parameter validation. An attacker may trick a user into installing a malicious APP. The APP can modify specific parameter to cause system reboot. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2017-08155)
This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2017-8186.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker successfully tricked a user into installing the malicious APP.

Vulnerability details:

The Bastet of some Huawei mobile phones has a DOS vulnerability due to the lack of parameter validation. An attacker may trick a user into installing a malicious APP. The APP can modify specific parameter to cause system reboot.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
