This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal data of our media contacts, clients, channel partners, operator partners, print and online journalists, freelance journalists, bloggers, vloggers and Key Opinion Leaders, or employees of the companies in the Huawei group who we may invite to our press conferences, exhibitions, interviews, business summits, press trips or other events held by or for Huawei or attendance upon invitation of Huawei (collectively “you” and “your”).

Huawei uses suppliers and service providers , such as photographers, event organizers etc.to ensure carrying out its business and to ensure adequate protection of the Personal Data. The processing of Personal Data in relation to our suppliers is always commissioned by us and the parties will act only on our behalf as data processors or based on another contractual set-up. Such processing is always protected with contractual arrangements to ensure that your Personal Data is processed in accordance with the laws and good data processing practices.
To comply with applicable laws or respond to valid legal procedures, Huawei may also disclose your personal data to law enforcement or other government agencies.
Huawei and its suppliers and service providers shall establish technological, physical, administrative and procedural safeguards all in line with the industry accepted standards in order to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of the Personal Data processed; prevent the unauthorized use of or unauthorized access to the personal data or prevent a personal data breach (security incident).

How long will the Personal Data be retained before it is deleted?

If you have voluntarily consented to Huawei's processing of your personal data for the purpose of publishing interview on online platforms including social media channels, we will keep your personal data, until you withdraw your consent, when consent is withdraw, your personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymized.
In the event of a legitimate interest in the establishment, exercise or defence against claims, your data will be kept for a period corresponding to the limitation period of claims which the controller may raise and which may be raised against the controller. The current period is 6 years.
