Bringing digital to the bakery
Tanzania’s Noreen Kira is not your typical baker. She studied electronic and telecommunication engineering before taking part in 2018 in Huawei’s Seeds for the Future talent development program. In 2019, she took over her mom’s cake business in 2019 and began to transform it. Now, her customers can order, customize, and pay for her delicious cakes on their smartphones. Business is booming.
