A Letter to Customers on Product Lifecycle Management

Dear customers,

Replacing old products with new products has been the norm in the telecom industry. On the one hand, new products emerge as the technology develops rapidly. On the other hand, equipment on the live network is aging. Old equipment is unable to provide functions that meet the ever-changing communication demands of users and will face an increasing number of challenges in terms of energy conservation and environmental protection, network security, maintainability, and OPEX reduction. Gradually, old products will be replaced by new products. Against this backdrop, managing the product lifecycle and introducing new Huawei products at a reasonable pace will help you attract more users and enhance your competitive advantages in the market.

Huawei has been performing lifecycle management according to industry conventions and has managed to establish a lifecycle management system and clear product lifecycle strategy and product EOX strategy. To help you better understand Huawei's lifecycle strategy and product EOX strategy, foresee the potential product evolution, and prepare for product replacement without impacting the existing business, we hereby send you this letter, in the hope of reaching a consensus with you.

More importantly, we hope that you join us in the lifecycle management activities. We would like to receive your feedback and expectations on product and software release lifecycles during the roadmap discussion sessions. Also, we would like to help you evaluate network operating risks and develop the corresponding solutions before EOM or EOS. We sincerely hope that through effective communication we can control the network and product replacement pace, thereby sharing the maximum social value generated by conforming to this law of nature.

If you have any comments or suggestions on product lifecycle management, please contact our sales representatives or service representatives.
