In 2014, Huawei launched the Seeds for the Future program in Serbia. Participants included 10 outstanding students majoring in ICT from 5 leading ICT universities. The Dragica Nikolic Foundation under the President's Office and Serbia's Ministry of Youth and Sports helped organize the event. In September 2014, the new Serbian Prime Minister Alexander Vucic visited Huawei's Beijing Research Center during his first visit to China, where he talked to the students via our telepresence system.

Mr. Vucic said, "We fully support Huawei's development in Serbia and I'm especially satisfied with the cooperation between Huawei and Serbia's operators. Huawei has plenty of opportunities in Serbia. I was shocked by the advanced technologies shown at Huawei. I will continue to contribute to ICT development in Serbia." Addressing the students, he remarked, "I'm very happy to see Serbian students at Huawei, and I'm surprised that you got up so early to talk to me. I'd like to invite you to meet me at the Prime Minister's Office, and I will see what I can do for you."
