“In March 2014, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on educational and scientific cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Education. The signed agreement served to deepen cooperation between educational institutions between the Netherlands and China and increase student exchanges between both countries. In the same year, Huawei launched the Seeds for the Future program in the Netherlands for the first time. The program showed Huawei's support to the MoU and dedication in building a strong relation with the Dutch government.

During a Seeds for the Future Welcome Ceremony, Mark van den Boogaard, Deputy Head Economic section of the Embassy of the Netherlands, said: "I want to thank Huawei for receiving the students as if they were the Dutch national football team and congratulate Huawei on their strong performance world-wide –becoming the third largest mobile device producer- as well as with their investment plans in the Netherlands."
2015, Dutch and Turkish students paying attention to Huawei’s eLTE Broadband Trunking system introduction
In 3 years’ time, 4 prominent Dutch universities became partner of the program (University of Amsterdam, Leiden University, Technical University Eindhoven and Twente University) and 50 students have been “sowed” during the Seeds for the Future program and are ready to bloom.
As of 2017, Huawei will prepare the 4th edition Seeds for the Future program and invite 15 new students to experience the unique program.”
