Myanmar Seeds for the future Launch Ceremony on 6th April

The very first batch of Myanmar Seeds for the Future Launch Event was successfully held at CSIC Hall of Huawei Myanmar Head Office from 10 Am to 12 Pm on 6th April, 2017.  The Director General of Research and Innovation Department of Ministry of Education, the Economic Counselor of China Embassy in Myanmar, Rectors, teachers and the students of two cooperated universities and 15+ local medias totally 40+ attendance attended this launch ceremony. During the ceremony, Huawei Myanmar CEO, the Director General of Ministry of Education and Economic Counselor delivered the speeches and awarded the gifts to the selected students. Moreover, the students’ representative Ms. Myat Mon Mon Kyi also gave a warmly thank you speech and all the attendance visited the Huawei new office and CSIC at the end of the ceremony.

Under  the close cooperation with Myanmar Ministry of Education, Technological University(Thanlyin) and University of Computer Studies, Yangon, 10 eligible outstanding ICT related students from above two universities were selected to participate in this activity. The students departed on April 7 and began a two-week ICT study trip to China. During their staying in China, they have learned the Chinese language and culture, and more importantly, have learned the 5G, LTE, cloud computing and other cutting-edge technologies and experienced Huawei’s  most advanced laboratory.

From 6 to 11 April, at the invitation of China President H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, Myanmar President H.E. Mr. Htin Kyaw started his first friendly visit to China. On 4pm, 9th April, Myanmar President H.E. Mr. Htin Kyaw has listened to Huawei company briefing and the seeds for the future program introduction spoken by the student representative and said: “We thank and appreciate Huawei for your contributions to the development of the Myanmar ICT Industry and your great efforts on ICT knowledge transferring and ICT Talents nurturing. Meanwhile, we hope Huawei can enlarge your investment to help nurture more advanced ICT Talents in Myanmar.”
