"Seeds for the Future" program was  launched in Belarus for the first time in 2015, then Prime Minister of Belarus, Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus participated in the signing ceremony of a joint strategic cooperation agreement “Seeds for the Future” between Huawei and the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications. 15 students were selected to participate in that year’s program, Vice Premier of Belarus visited China and Huawei Beijing exhibition hall and attended the opening ceremony of the “Seeds for the Future” in July.

In September 2016, Huawei signed a “Seeds for the Future” tripartite cooperation agreement with Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Informatization, Ministry of Education of Belarus, and 10 students from the Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications participated in the program. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Former Deputy Prime Minister, Former Belarusian Ambassador to China, Chairman of China-Belarus Friendship Association, First Deputy Minister of Communications, First Deputy Minister of Education, Head of Education Department of Chinese Embassy in Belarus, President of Belarusian State University, President of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, President of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications attended the ceremony. "Seeds for the Future is the flagship project of Huawei's largest investment in corporate social responsibility worldwide, and I am well aware of the project’s progress in Belarus," said the Deputy Prime Minister. "The students learned not only professional knowledge, but also Chinese culture, which is a symbol of friendly relations between China and Belarus, and it is also clear that Huawei's work in Belarus is active and efficient. We hope that this project will advance the level of telecommunication knowledge of Belarusian professionals.

In May 2017, another 10 students from the Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications participated in the program. On May 13, during President of Belarus visit to China, Minister of Economy of Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian Science and Technology Committee, Chairman of China-Belarus Industrial Park and Chairman of the Belarusian Embassy in China attended the opening ceremony with the students in Beijing.
