Supporting smooth communications during the 15th National Games of China

The 15th National Games of China was jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao for the first time, covering 105 venues across 19 cities. Communications support faced significant challenges due to numerous users on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao private lines, a large number of international roaming users, and the complexities of reusing the existing network infrastructure.

In May 2025, Huawei established a dedicated event support project team. Over a six-month period, the team completed two rounds of network inspections, deployed over 4,000 wireless sites, optimized the network for more than 400 key scenarios, and prepositioned over 700 spare parts. These efforts laid a solid foundation for stable network operations during the event.

Throughout the National Games, the network achieved zero major failures, ultra-low latency, and a lag-free experience. Services, such as dedicated venue networks, livestreaming, data transmission, and voice calls, delivered a superior experience, earning high acclaim from the customers.
