Huawei engineer Mohammad Said Elkabeer (holding PC) with members of his team in Derna, Libya. On the night of Sept. 10 2023, Hurricane Daniel devastated Derna in eastern Libya and wiped out wireless networks. Elkabeer rushed to the scene and by Sept. 14, he and his colleagues had restored 95% of coverage.
