Internet of fishing boats

A China Unicom staff looks at a monitor displaying the location of fishing boats off the coast of Yangjiang in southern China in early 2023. The solution, which raises safety and revenues in the fishing industry, provides coverage to boats as far as 60 kilometers from shore.

Using VR in hybrid classroom in Thailand

AR makes complex tasks simpler

Before shipment to customer, a technician at the Huawei European Supply Center in Páty, Hungary, configures a delicate piece of equipment. Specifically, he’s readying an OptiX OSN-9800 cabinet, an optical cross-connect used on network backbones. AR enables him to implement the exact standards specified by HQ. One of the most advanced in Europe, the Páty logistics center is fully covered by 5G networks that enable the operation of Automated Guided Vehicles and high-bandwidth applications like AR.
