  • Huawei was first to introduce OFDMA technology into Wi-Fi 6, yielding a four-fold improvement in capacity—in turn increasing the maximum number of terminals that could be connected to a network from dozens to more than one hundred. Other Huawei inventions, including Multi-User MIMO, Spatial Reuse, BSS Coloring, Extended Range, Target Wake Time, tripled transmission speed, minimized co-channel interference, and reduced battery consumption by 30% of Wi-Fi 6.
  • Huawei continues its Wi-Fi innovation efforts and has contributed to Wi-Fi 7’s predominant features such as Multi-Link Operation, Multi-RU per STA and Preamble Puncturing. With Huawei’s contributions, Wi-Fi 7 breaks through the bottleneck for single-user throughput, offers deterministic latency and greater reliability. Combined with 320MHz bandwidth, TID-to-link mapping, NSTR/STR and EMLSR/EMLMR , Wi-Fi 7 also doubles the system performance of Wi-Fi 6 and enables end user a second-level downloading/ near instant video viewing experience—making Wi-Fi more wired-like.
