B2B services have become the primary growth driver for carriers worldwide. Notably, over 70% of carriers see faster B2B revenue growth than their overall business, with SMEs contributing 55% of this growth. Services beyond traditional connectivity — now growing at 14% CAGR — have become pivotal to sustained B2B growth.
AI innovation is emerging as a new engine of B2B growth. Over the next five years, B2B is expected to account for more than one-third of revenue for most carriers. Globally, over 65% of carriers have already launched AI strategies, with frontrunners such as Deutsche Telekom, Orange, and China's three major carriers accelerating their deployment. In China, carriers are delivering full-stack AI capabilities to drive adoption across industries and accelerate their strategic shift toward token monetization.
To seize the new opportunities presented by AI-driven industrial digitalization, leading global carriers are leveraging their strengths in networks and compute to upgrade B2B offerings for three market segments, accelerating digital and intelligent transformation across industries:
- SMEs: Carriers are integrating enterprise broadband, Wi-Fi networking, CCTV, and AI applications to deliver out-of-the-box AI standardized services and ready-to-work digital employees, helping SMEs go digital and intelligent.
- Key industries: Carriers are offering integrated AI SaaS services and tiered token services based on private lines, private networks, and resource pools, enabling intelligence in key industries. In healthcare, for example, deploying AI-assisted ultrasound solutions helps make ultrasound services more accessible.
- Strategic emerging markets: Embodied AI agentic applications such as robots and autonomous driving are expected to gain traction across industries. To address the challenge of limited on-device compute, cloud-assisted device computing is needed. By building an integrated intelligent infrastructure spanning cloud, network, edge, and device, carriers can provide ubiquitous AI services and accelerate the integration of physical AI into every industry.

For SMEs: AI + Standardized services drive accessible intelligence
SMEs form a vast market, with retail, hospitality, food services, and office being the four core segments. Surveys show that beyond connectivity, these businesses have strong needs for networking, CCTV, checkout and ordering, and AI-powered applications. Huawei helps carriers build "AI + smart store" solutions, leveraging fixed wireless access (FWA), fiber to the office (FTTO), and cloud-based Wi-Fi as a solid foundation, with pre-integrated partner AI applications to deliver one-stop standardized services:
- Cost-effective FTTO intelligent video security convergence gateway: With over 70% video compression, it reduces customer costs by 30% while supporting unified management of hardware and applications. The built-in AI agent improves fault closure efficiency by 30%. In Sichuan, China Telecom and Huawei partnered to deliver one-stop intelligent management services for Tuhu Car Care stores. By deploying eight scenario-based AI algorithms, store inspection efficiency increased by 200%, and carrier ARPU per store grew 2.2 times.
- Four-in-one FTTO intelligent computing appliance: This four-in-one device integrates networking, intelligent computing, general-purpose computing, and storage hardware, providing a unified entry point for enterprise AI applications. Huawei has reduced partner validation time from three months to one month through joint certification labs with carriers, enabling carriers to deliver out-of-the-box AI standardized services. In Guangdong, carriers provided an AI writing assistant for public service institutions, tripling writing efficiency and driving a 5-fold increase in carrier ARPU. In addition, Huawei and its partners have helped carriers launch a range of digital employees, including office assistants, O&M engineers, and marketing assistants. The all-in-one appliance enables over 80% of token processing to be completed locally, reducing token overhead, while a three-tier security framework — spanning agents, networks, and hosts — ensures comprehensive protection.
For key industries: Differentiated token services enable core production
In education, healthcare, government, and industrial sectors, carriers leverage the convergence of networks and compute to embed AI into scenario-based ICT solutions, delivering differentiated token services with low latency, high throughput, high security, and high availability:
- Low latency: Model-aware intelligent routing and 5G-A high-bandwidth uplink enable millisecond-level access to computing resources within metropolitan area networks.
- High throughput: Multi-user concurrency and dynamic multi-batch capabilities support long-sequence, complex agent reasoning, and long chain-of-thought tasks.
- High security: Data security and model content security ensure that plaintext data remains on-premises, with AI guardrails and agent-level protection.
- High availability: The compute-network architecture delivers over 99.99% availability, while fixed-mobile converged access ensures ubiquitous connectivity for agent services.
In the healthcare sector, the digital, information, and communication technology (DICT) market holds significant potential. Chinese carriers already hold a 45% share of the healthcare cloud market, giving them a strong foundation to move quickly into AI-driven services.
Huawei collaborates with partners to deliver end-to-end AI-powered smart healthcare solutions, integrating computing, networking, and applications to enable seamless AI deployment across medical workflows. For instance, Huawei's dedicated network and computing resource pool ensure ultra-low latency under 200 ms, critical for real-time applications like remote AI-assisted ultrasound diagnostics.
In Jieyang, Guangdong, Huawei partnered with one carrier to deploy an AI-based ultrasound diagnostic solution in community clinics, delivering three transformative outcomes: diagnostic accuracy exceeding 95% for thyroid nodules and other conditions, a 60% reduction in AI deployment costs to bring advanced diagnostics to communities, and a remarkable 15-fold increase in carrier ARPU. The ultrasound medical agent can autonomously guide standardized scanning, perform intelligent lesion grading, and automatically generate compliant ultrasound reports, bringing quality healthcare to more people.
In the education sector, AI is being widely adopted in both teaching and learning. With 193 countries now committed to advancing AI education, the shift is clearly global. As a concrete example, 16 provinces in China have already introduced general AI courses.
Huawei supports carriers in building AI-powered smart education solutions that leverage private lines or private networks combined with computing resource pools. The solutions achieve 30% higher inference throughput than the industry average through xPU ratio optimization and OpenCV operator tuning.
In Guangzhou, Guangdong province, Huawei worked with China Mobile to develop a general AI course solution for primary schools, delivering immersive and interactive AI-based teaching to students. This project generates over US$600 in monthly carrier revenue per class, with the potential to be replicated across 15,000 primary schools province-wide.
In the manufacturing sector, quality inspection, industrial control, and process optimization are core requirements, demanding networks with high uplink bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability.
Together with partners, Huawei has developed AI-powered intelligent manufacturing solutions featuring 5G-A private networks and integrated AI inference appliances. These solutions precisely support applications such as AI-driven quality inspection, PLC-based industrial control, and AI-assisted material batching. The 5G-A private network delivers up to 1 Gbps uplink bandwidth to support high-concurrency applications like AI-enabled quality inspection cameras.
Huawei worked with partners to build an AI-powered defect detection application for an automobile manufacturing factory. With over 1,000 images required per inspected part, the application uses AI visual algorithms to achieve a defect detection rate exceeding 99%, reducing the return on investment cycle by 30%.
For strategic emerging markets: AI + Ubiquitous services on a 5G + AI integrated infrastructure
In strategic emerging markets, AI capabilities continue to advance, unlocking new opportunities across industries. The shift from generative AI to agentic AI marks a leap from answering questions to autonomously completing tasks. The next step, from agentic AI to physical AI, extends intelligent agents from the digital world into the physical world. At the same time, AI demand is undergoing a paradigm shift — from enhancing single-agent capabilities to enabling multi-agent collaboration and communication. To support the real-time connectivity and collaboration of massive agents, network capabilities require a comprehensive structural upgrade:
