Huawei Digital Shopping Mall (DSM) is a hosted service delivery platform with a pre-stocked library of mobile internet content and applications. It is fairly simple to integrate through a single gateway access between Huawei hosting center and operators’ network. It is targeted to produce an open, simple, mature, fast, integrated and cost-effective application store platform that delivers massive amounts of applications and services quickly.
Our Solution
Huawei DSM provides cloud services to enrich consumers’ daily lives:
- Hosting mode is the preferred delivery mode of DSM. The operator only needs to integrate its network with Huawei DSM via a local access gateway instead of deploying the whole platform;
- There are lots of pre-selected, integrated applications, media content and services in the DSM including mobile music, mobile reading, social networking sites, rich communication suites, mobile games etc. So operators can reach the market and generate revenue faster;
- Easy for end users to select, order and use the services. The phone number is treated as the user’s account and the pass for using all services in the DSM. If the user wants a service, a credit card is not a mandatory anymore, he can pay it directly through his account in the operator’s billing system;
- Through data analysis based on his behavior and interests, the system recommends relevant services to a subscriber. Also, using the recommendation engine, operators can easily cross-sell and promote more services to the consumer, e.g., recommend Madonna’s new song and music video once he views news about Madonna;
- Operators have to deal with different types of terminals, from smart phones to feature phones. DSM can adapt to different terminals to provide a unified service experience for end users.
