Huawei's Metro WDM integrates C/DWDM、ROADM、OTN、GE ADM/MADM and Ethernet service aggregation technologies, enabling the system to provide more powerful networking and services, and meet the demand of constructing next generation broadband metro transport networks.
Taking advantage of these technologies, our Metro WDM allows for fast service provision, reconstruction of complex network topology, protecting, grooming, management and controlling of end-to-end lambda or sub-lambda service, eliminating the limitations of WDM network and increasing network efficiency.
By now, Huawei's regional/metro WDM solution has been deployed commercially by China Telecom, China Mobil, BT, KPN (Holand), Novis (Portugal), GTS (Hungary) and so on. Holand KPN uses Huawei's Metro WDM to construct broadband transport networks, in line with their IP over WDM strategy. Most of the GE and 10GE services are borne in Huawei's Metro WDM networks, which use unified C/DWDM platform to provide solutions ranging from the access layer to the core layer.
