America Movil is the No.1 mobile operator in North America and Latin America headquartered in Mexico City with over 130 million subscribers as of March, 2007. The Mexican subsidiary is the No.1 mobile operator, commanding a market share in excess of 80% with 45 million subscribers in Mexico.

Project implementation with high quality

To meet the market and competition requirements, the AM chose Huawei to build a RBT system for them. Huawei built up a dedicated and powerful project team (including logistic, R&D, outsourcing requirement management, rollout, HQ support, account, technical sales and others) to guarantee the implementation and delivery with high efficiency and quality.

Huawei provided the professional project management including Project Reporting, Project Communication and Project Monitoring & Control.

Huawei also provided professional and flexible network analysis and adaptation for AM. The dedicated requirement collection activity made that Huawei understood the detailed situation of legacy network and designed the network integration solution for it..

Satisfy customized requirements

The roadmap of AM is to build an all IP based signaling network, so AM requests a SIGTRAN based RBT platform. Huawei established a professional team to research, and build the world-leading SIGTRAN based RBT platform for AM.

AM's network is sub-divided into nine regional areas. Huawei provided a distributed RBT system that contains one management site and nine distributed call sites. With this structure, the RBT call will be routed by the MSC to the local call site for announcement of RBT and the long distance E1 and ISUP links are saved.

Huawei provided an open USDP platform for Users' Self-Management Access via IVR, WEB, SMS, WAP, so that users can enjoy the service anywhere and anytime.

Besides basic RBT functions, Huawei RBT system also provided lots of enhanced features to AM, like music list, RBT gifting, service gifting, RBT copy, music package, music channel, etc. which bring more experience to users.

Professional consulting service

Huawei shares the success case of CMCC with AM, and helps AM design the sale strategy, establishes the roadmap of RBT development, and provides the details about what should be done in each phase, including how to make customer know the new service, how to hold customers and how to get revenue and so on.

Milestones 

  •  RBT site in Mexico city launched in Nov, 2006.
  • The rest eight sites in the other cities launched by the end of March, 2007.
