Project background

With the development of the broadband service, data services have become the major sales point for any telecom operators major income. The existing transmission network of the China Telecom Hainan Branch cannot meet the expanding requirements of the current market. In consideration of security, efficiency, maintenance, and expansion, Hainan Branch finally chose Huawei's intelligent optical network products to build its provincial backbone.


Project explain 

The entire network uses seven OSN 9500s and 13 OSN 3500s to form a 20-node mesh network to access abundant 155M, GE, and 2M services.


Benefit

Using OSN products, this network has no limit in terms of however it improves the resource utilization, protection against multi-point failure, and guarantees network security. Network services offer SLA division to ensure VIP customers' security and provide permanent 1+1 protection service. In that case, services can tolerate multiple fiber cuts and solve the urgent and service demands better. This solution solves the problem of difficulty in management maintenance and high cost incurred by the stacking of big service nodes and ring-across service grooming. The construction of the network solves the problem of difficulty in upgrade and expansion to ensure the reuse of existing resources.
