Construct a Full-EDGE Network in Manila
Huawei has deployed more than 18 EDGE networks.
As one of the leading telecom operators in Philippines, Digitel operates in three fields: mobile, fixed and data communications. Its mobile brand - SUN CELLULAR - is highly recommended in the country.
In April 2005, Digitel Mobile of Philippines awarded Huawei with a GSM equipment contract, which covers the relocation and construction of all the BSS in Manila and the deployment of a one million- line-softswitch CN system. Huawei assisted Digitel in deploying a full-EDGE network to expand services for Digitel and enhance its competence.
Manila features the most complicated wireless environment and populous distribution. Total BSS equipments provided by other vendors have been smoothly relocated and swapped, which improved the network quality of Manila and solved the indoor coverage limitation.
