KPN demands network transformation urgently in the face of the 3G trend
KPN has always been active in the European market. It acquired Telfort, the third largest mobile operator in Holland in 2005, after which KPN has four mobile networks. Along with market share growth, came a string of tough problems a: KPN had to pay for the huge operation cost brought by the four networks. In order to reduce risks and increase investment return, KPN was in urgent need of network integration and optimization. Meanwhile, in the face of the 3G trend, KPN urgently needede network transformation to meet the market demands and technology evolvement requirements and got ready for the arrival of 3G.
