Huawei launched its independently developed high-speed data CDMA2000 1xEV-DO solution in August 2002.
Huawei had been the first to launch a Rev. A Hardware based EV-DO system in quarter 4 of 2005. One EV-DO can provide a data rate of up to 3.1Mbps in the forward direction and 1.8Mbps in the reverse direction. The DO channel card needs not to be replaced when upgrading to support DO Rev.A features.
