Messaging Solution

The Messaging solution includes the solutions of SMS, SMS Router, MMS, Instant Message, Unified Message, USSD, and Anti-Spamming. It provides the processing system of the omnidirectional messaging service for carriers, and supports the smooth evolution to the Rich Communication Suite (RCS) in the future.

Short Message Service (SMS)  
Huawei SMS covers a series of products and solutions, including the SMSC, short message roaming, and short message geographical disaster recovery. Besides, it provides advertisement, promotion, and mobile newspaper through short messages.
SMS Router  
The SMS router has four types of application modes: first delivery attempt (FDA), router, value-added services (VAS), and firewall, and provides customers with optimized capabilities of message routing, message security, and value-added services.
Multimedia Message Servicesolution  
Huawei MMS provides the multimedia message service center (MMSC), multimedia message information gateway (MMIG, including the interconnection gateway and value-added service gateway), multimedia message redirector, multimedia message content adaptation system, and EnumDNS. Also it provides an optimized multimedia message service solution for carriers.
Instant Message (IM)  
The Instant Message Presence Service (IMPS) solution provides messaging services on the basis of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). It supports the access of PC soft terminals, mobile phones, and other types of terminals, and provides carriers with new messaging services.
Unstructured Supplementary Service Data  
Huawei USSD fully complies with the international USSD standard, and also adapts to the protocols, processes, formats and others that are not specified in the standard. It supports the USSD service to apply to mobile phones and the network. For example, a mobile phone sends a USSD request to the network, then the network sends a USSD notification to a mobile phone. A mobile phone can interact multiple times with USSD application entities and provide abundant services upon the interaction, such as the public information query and location-related service.
xMail  
The xMail is a mail push system, which includes the Push-Mail and unified messaging. The new emails in a mailbox can be pushed to mobile phones. Users can send and receive emails freely by using the client software on mobile phones. This solution facilitates users in mail processing.
Unified Message  
Huawei UM supports messaging via voice IVR, video IVR, Web and WAP access. Subscribers can manage personal mailboxes, configure personal features such as greetings, passwords, broadcast lists, message forwarding options and so on, it provides unified messaging, video call, voice call, missed call notification, fax mail, voice SMS and email.
AntiSpamming  
Huawei AntiSpamming solution helps carriers monitor and filter junk short messages and multimedia messages, keep subscribers away from disturbance, improve the service experiences of subscribers, and reduce customer complaints.
Voice Mail (VM)  
VM system provides the voice mail service based on the existing network. When a call is transferred to the VM system, the system can ask the calling party to leave a message for the called party when the called party is busy, powered off, or not in the service area. The VM service can increase the system put-through rate, service usage rate, subscriber satisfaction, and revenue. It provides voice mail, call prompt, voice short message and email.
Video Mail  
When a called party fails to answer a 3G video call, the call is transferred to the video mail. The calling party can leave a video message, and then the called party will receive the notification of a new video mail and obtain the message through a video call or an audio call, or in Web or WAP mode.
Welcome Message System (WMS)  
WMS is a relatively independent application system based on signaling collection and MAP signaling analysis. The system provides value-added services which can bring more profits for the carriers.
Intelligent Response  
When a called party cannot answer a call, the intelligent response service on the mobile phone can play a personalized reply message to inform the calling party of the current user status. In this solution, the personalized ring back tones such as music, effect sound, and voice replace the dull voice announcement.
Over the Air(OTA)  
With the development of mobile communication technologies, mobile phones can support more and more value-added services (VASs), such as SMS, WAP, MMS, and Internet access services. For these services, the OTA system can automatically set the parameters via the SMS instead of enabling subscribers to spend a lot of time on it.
Email Server  
Huawei Email Server system is particularly designed for telecom messaging services, which supports tens of millions of mailboxes.
