The current mobile/wireless broadband market is anxious to get different and rich WiMAX user devices. Based on self-developed and partner-developed foundation, Huawei will help operators to get the multiple types of WiMAX user devices working on 2.5/ 3.5 / 2.3 GHz with 5 / 7 /10MHz bandwidth. Huawei with its Global WiMAX user device partners will provide more and more WiMAX user devices to fully meet operators' requirements.
Huawei has now performed interoperability (IOT) testing on terminals and chips from manufacturers including Intel, Runcom, SEQUANS, GCT, ZyXEL, SEWON and ASUS. Large-scale implementation has been applied in commercial networks deployed by Huawei.
Huawei's terminal division has also initiated WiMAX research. In 2008, Huawei obtained two Wave 2 certifications from the WiMAX Forum for its newest terminal products, which are all based on the WiMAX 802.16e standard.As elsewhere, Huawei's open development strategy is aimed at promoting the maturity of WiMAX chips and terminals and, ultimately, providing more diversified choices for operators.
