The indoor coverage distributed Node B solution (iDBS) put forward by Huawei enables the operator to deploy an indoor coverage network at a lower cost and faster speed. The iDBS consists of the baseband unit (BBU), radio HUB (RHUB) and pico radio remote unit (pRRU). The standalone BBU and RRU are mounted separately to process baseband signals and RF signals respectively.

The RHUB is an indoor pRRU convergence unit that converges multiple pRRUs to the BBU. RHUB connects to BBU through optical interface and pRRU connects to RHUB through electrical interface, pRRU can also directly connect to BBU through optical interface.
