[1 January 2006] According to Southern African Wireless Communications, Huawei's mobile products now serve 140 million users, making Huawei the current leader in global mobile development. This can be attributed to the fact that Huawei keeps ahead in the technological research and commercial usage of next generation technologies such as R4 and new generation UMTS base stations. According to Zhang Shunmao, president of Huawei's mobile product line, Huawei's success is mainly due to the fact that it is constantly focusing on customers, meeting their demands quickly and continuously investing in the mobile field.
