Huawei Successfully Integrates Broadsoft's BroadWorks® into IMS Solution

[Shenzhen, China-Gaithersburg, MD, USA, 12 February, 2007] Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., a leader in providing next generation network telecommunication solutions for operators around the world, and BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that BroadSoft's BroadWorks® IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) application platform has been successfully integrated as part of the Huawei's IMS solutions for telecom operators.

The partnership with BroadSoft is expected to accelerate the global deployment of IP multi-media services particularly in the enterprise market segment by enhancing operators' ability to deliver comprehensive IP Centrex and PBX services. Huawei is promoting a competitive IMS industry supply chain for operators, establishing partnerships with many leading telecom vendors in the field of service applications, border control components, access edge elements, and handsets.

With Huawei 's 3GPP, 3GPP2 and TISPAN standards compliant IMS3.0 solution, operators can deliver differentiated end-to-end Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) services, including voice call continuity (VCC) between different networks, voice/video over IP (VoIP), multi-media conference, instant messaging (IM) and presence.

"The successfully integration of Broadsoft's sophisticated IP Centrex application effectively helps operators win a greater share of the global enterprise market." said Mr. Zha Jun, director of Huawei's IMS product line. "Huawei has 25 IMS commercial and trial contracts worldwide. We further develop partnerships with the leading vendors, and jointly build an open IMS eco-system to provide competitive IMS solutions for global carriers."

"This agreement with Huawei brings an important partner into the BroadSoft distribution network."

BroadWorks has been deployed in multiple IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) incumbent networks. BroadWorks applications function independently of the underlying network - extending the service reach and simplifying operations for service providers.
