As the above diagram shows, the videoconferencing system is combined by just group video terminals and videophones. One of the video terminals with built-in MCU enables up to 12 video sites plus 12 voice sites to join in the videoconference at the same time. Group terminals (ViewPoint 8060/8066), videophones (viewpoint 8220/8210), and telephones can access the system via IP or ISDN network.

The solution not only provides video and audio communication capabilities, but also data collaboration capability. Users can easily share the desktop of their PC with the remote sites accompanied with the video and audio.

What the benefits?

Very easy to use

With the built-in MCU of the group system, users do not need to deploy an appliance-based MCU. They also do not need to configure complex parameters before starting a multipoint conference. The only thing they need to do is to call the participants one by one. The system can automatically switch to multipoint model when the third party is called. High definition video

Supporting the industry leading H.264 video standards at up to 2Mbps, and 50/60 fields processing technology, the group system (ViewPoint 8066/8039) provides full motion, clear, high resolution, lifelike video up to 30fps. The group system also supports up to 4CIF resolution for active video by which, the user can enjoy high definition video quality when they have sufficient bandwidth.

CD quality audio

Supporting HWBA, Huawei's proprietary wide band audio algorithm, the group system provides crisp, silvery audio as CD quality with up to 20KHz sampling frequency. Additional audio processing technologies like AGC, ANS, and AEC help to provide superior audio quality to customers.

Dual Stream & data collaboration

Supporting H.239, the standard dual stream transmission protocol, the group system is able to deliver two video streams to the far end in separated channels, or one channel for active video and the other channel for high definition data like desktop of PC at the same time. The maximum resolution of the desktop transmission can reach SXGA (1280*1024). With the VGA in/out, Users can easily share the data with each other without the need of any external equipment or programs.

Unique SiteCall

Using Huawei's proprietary SiteCall function, each site can start a multipoint videoconference just by selecting the attendees from the address book. Without any reservation or without the administrator's help, users can start the conference whenever they want.

Powerful built-in MCU

The built-in MCU of the group system can access up to 12 video + 12 audio sites with 768kbps connection speed. The system provides up to 6 kinds of continuous presence layouts, including 9, 8, 6, 4, 3, and 2 sub-pictures. Powerful conference control

The group system and the videophones support powerful conference control functions.
