Security Notice - Statement on Huawei P9 Lite’s Fingerprint Unlocking Vulnerability Mentioned at the GeekPwn Conference

Huawei noticed that security researcher Nick from the Shellphish team of USA demonstrated an fingerprint unlocking security vulnerability of Huawei P9 Lite at the GeekPwn Conference in Shanghai on October 24, 2016. Huawei obtain information about the vulnerability from the organizer of the GeetPwn Conference in the first place and launched an investigation into it.

Huawei has finished investigation and analysis, confirmed that some Huawei smart phone are affected by the vulnerabilities. Huawei has delivered Security Advisories. The link of the security advisory is:
