  • Initial Release Date: 2012-12-21
  • Last Release Date: 2012-12-21

In September 2012, OSVDB released the security vulnerability discovered on Android system. This vulnerability can be triggered when the specific Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) is executed through the web site, which may directly cause the Android devices to be restored to the factory settings. Huawei PSIRT and the terminal team have deeply analyzed and evaluated this vulnerability in the first time.

Although Huawei mobile phones and tablets support the extension functions of USSD commands, the execution of the specific USSD commands cannot cause them to be restored to the factory settings. So users can rest assured to use Huawei mobile phones and tablets.
