There are multiple vulnerabilities in MTK platform used in Huawei smart phones.

There is a integer overflow vulnerability in MTK platform used in Huawei smart phones. An attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application on the smart phone, and send given parameter to escalate privilege. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-10053).

There is a memory leak vulnerability in MTK platform used in Huawei smart phones. An attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application on the smart phone, and send given parameter to leak memory. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-10054).

There are two input validation vulnerabilities in MTK platform used in Huawei smart phones. An attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application on the smart phone, and send given parameter to overwrite memory, leading to escalate privilege. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-10055 and HWPSIRT-2016-10056).

Huawei has released software updates to fix these vulnerabilities. This advisory is available at the following link: http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20161221-01-smartphone-en
