uBro and Pico O&M
A large number of UMTS HomeAPs and ePicos are installed in homes or small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Traditional field installation and test methods greatly lengthen the network deployment time and increase maintenance costs. To tackle this problem, Huawei provides uBro and Pico O&M solution to perform all HomeAPs and ePicos related operations such as configuration, diagnosis, and upgrade, thus realizing remote maintenance of HomeAPs and ePicos in a centralized mode.

Solution Features


Huawei’s uBro and Pico O&M solution includes three network elements:

  • M2000 - used for centralized uBro core NEs
  • AP Manager - used for remote AP management
  • AHR - used for AP service management


Huawei’s uBro and Pico O&M solution provides rich remote O&M functions, which includes Configuration management, Software management, Fault management, Performance management, AP fault diagnosis, Zone management, Service provisioning, Access management, AP group management. In addition, Pre-planning and self-configuration are provided for fast deployment.

For operators, the solution supports preplanning, auto software upgrade and self configuration to minimize workload of O&M and human invention, thus reduce OPEX greatly.
