Why Did I Choose Huawei
Akram Tuffaha , Saudi Arabia

I have more than 11 years of experience in Telecom industry with a broad range of technical services and projects management roles in the Middle Eastern and African markets at well-known multinational companies. I held multiple key positions in all service departments including pre-sales and professional service business development. This has given me a very good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the different departments that make up a company.

In my previous company, my challenges were to develop leadership skills in multi-cultural environments. There, I managed several simultaneous multi million dollars projects, and maximize profits by creating service business and operating at optimal efficiency. This has given me an extensive knowledge of the service portfolios meet the evolving needs of the customer to introduce the value of service solutions, and how to develop and apply successful support models to foster relationships at executive levels.

So, why someone who has a stable job, with 10+ years in the same international company, might want to move to another company like Huawei!?

Indeed -- Huawei is just a 18-years old Chinese company, and the fact historical that there isn't much interaction between Chinese and Middle Eastern companies. This is so because the Middle Eastern market is dominated by Western companies especially American. On the other hand, Huawei has developed rapidly and growing internationally. We see continues achievements from its international market expansion plans to increase its global presence and drive sales in overseas markets (South Africa, Europe and Latin America regions). Furthermore, Huawei has become an important competitor in the Middle Eastern region. Hence, it is a strong sign the sterling performance was a result of the company continued strong growth in its international sales, and this is a team that value and cares about its customers missions/commitments.

Thus, being in a leading global vendor of telecommunications systems and network solutions, and its efforts in keep going globally especially in Middle Eastern market that attracted me to join Huawei, and made me feel confident about the future of Huawei. I also wanted to be involved in building a multicultural environmental organization for Huawei in Saudi Arabia, and establishing it as a local company within Huawei's rules and regulations standards. Of course, it would be a challenge for a multinational company to fit in with local style. I look forward to helping the company achieve that goal, and have my contributions on the growth of this company.

We all must believe in Huawei's capabilities and objectives. Huawei is a career "NOT a job". Huawei is the Future of Telecommunications and Network Solutions.
