Riding Across The Eurasian Continent
Han Xiao , Russia

For the purpose of office deployment and maintenance, I sped along the rural highway of Russia many times. What struck me most was the fertile black earth and boundless forest. From time to time, I could not help admiring the fertile soil and rich natural resources of the country. Once, I crossed a flagpole-like object that stood high on a grey cement platform. I went past the line several times, often without noticing it. When someone later told me it was the demarcation line between Europe and Asia, I was suddenly filled with a feeling of deep veneration. Realizing that I had crossed the Eurasian continent so lightly made me feel somewhat magical.

Three years have passed since I began to work in the CIS. I traveled from Central Asia to Russia, crossing the demarcation line between Europe and Asia valiantly without noticing it, as it were, but the fixed network grew in capacity to the present large-scale deployment.

How time flies! The beautiful and transient summer is drawing to a close and the winter with its swirling snow is impending. However, in Huawei Russia, we all look forward to the coming season because in the winter we will kick off 50-plus projects. I feel proud when I see that Huawei's equipment has spread all over major cities in Russia and Central Asia. I feel passion and a great sense of responsibility when I think that my task is to make it run stably across the vast expanses of the Eurasian Continent.
