| Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd, a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solution for operators around the world, together with the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, organized a three-day telecom training session for the students. The topics cover Wireless products (GSM / WCDMA / CDMA), Telecom networks (Optical Network / Data Communication Network and Access Network), NGN and 3G technology. Ms. Bussayarin Setachanpiti, Huawei Thailand's Corporate Communication Manager, said that, "For Thailand's telecom industry to develop, it is important to promote the correct understanding and knowledge of this technology on university levels. Huawei has been collaborating with leading institutions since the beginning of 2008, aiming to educate students on telecommunications trend, global market demand as well as possible career paths." Assoc. Prof Teerasit Kasetkasem, Ph.D., Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, said that, "What university students gain from the classroom is not enough, especially in the fast-developing telecom industry. Since Thailand is becoming increasingly open to technologies such as 3G and WiMAX, we are pleased that Huawei, the world leading telecom operator, has agreed to contribute their expertise to the education sector. The lectures not only enhance the student's knowledge, but also provide them with a hands-on experience, which gives them a greater insight into the Thai telecom industry".  |
