| Milan, 13 March, 2008: Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd. (“Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, will today donate a wheelchair accessible vehicle to the Italian Red Cross to mark World Kidney Day. John Qiao, managing director of Huawei Italy, will present the vehicle to the President of the Italian Red Cross, Luca Bottero, at an official ceremony in Piazza Corduio at noon today.
The Italian Society of Nephrologists, together with the Italian Red Cross Association will be driving the campaign across Italy. "We are incredibly proud to be able to help the Red Cross with its activities throughout Italy," said John Qiao, managing director of Huawei Italy. "Huawei is fully committed to fulfilling its responsibility as a global corporate citizen by enabling a higher standard of living for those in our community.
